Preventing Youth Radicalization

Most initiatives launched to comprehend the process of youth radicalization that leads to terrorist behavior had focused on security issues and were addressed by security services and scholars who viewed the radicalization phenomenon only within a counterterrorism context. If radicalization and terrorism research effort continues to be viewed within this narrow perspective, the odds are good that we are setting into motion a new cycle of incubation for radicalism and nullifying attempts to set efficient anticipatory measures.
